The Creators' Shop by Mercado Livre was a temporary pop-up store that allowed customers to "pay" for fashion items by creating social media content for Tiktok and Reels. Held at Shopping Parque da Cidade in São Paulo, the store operated on specific weekends in September 2024. Visitors could select up to three fashion items from brands like Nike, Adidas, and Lacoste, and instead of traditional payment, they used social media posts with specific hashtags to complete their purchases. The result? More than 600 new influencers for the brand.
This initiative was remarkable in the UGC market and was part of Mercado Livre's strategy to expand its fashion category and engage younger audiences, particularly content creators and influencers. The store included mini studios where visitors could create content showcasing the items they chose.
